Defender Direct rolls out new HVAC division in Cincinnati
DEFENDER Direct, Inc., a national leader in customer acquisition for residential security and home entertainment services, has expanded into the residential heating and cooling business. True Energy Smart Air, a wholly owned division of DEFENDER Direct, is a full-service contractor selling residential Carrier heating and cooling systems, and servicing all brands of home heating and cooling equipment.
The decision to expand into the HVAC industry reflects DEFENDER Direct’s commitment to provide homeowners with integrated solutions encompassing security, digital communication/entertainment and home comfort solutions. “Throughout the nation, homeowners are staying in their homes longer, yet they don’t want to compromise on proven technologies that can make their homes more secure and comfortable,” stated Bob Keck, vice president, business development for DEFENDER Direct.
In affiliating with a HVAC manufacturer, DEFENDER selected Carrier because of its commitment to innovative, high-efficiency comfort solutions. “Since its founding in 1998, DEFENDER has maintained a relentless focus on affiliating with top brands serving homeowners. Our decision to become a Carrier dealer reflects our commitment to aligning with the industry’s leaders,” said Keck.
Offering one-of-a-kind customer service solutions has been an integral part of DEFENDER’s growth in the home services market. The company will continue this tradition as it expands into HVAC by offering free access to home energy specialists 24/7 and handling the rebate claims process for new customers. “DEFENDER will handle the paperwork and documentation involved in securing rebates offered by Carrier. Our goal is to make the process of upgrading seamless, convenient and affordable for homeowners,” Keck said.
True Energy Smart Air employs NATE-certified professional energy technicians to install and service home comfort systems. While initial True Energy Smart Air locations are located in Cincinnati and Louisville, the company plans to expand throughout the Midwest and beyond in 2012.
